The foundation provides a formal application which is to be completed by all applicants approved for submission of a grant request. The application specifies three attachments which become part of a complete submission. If the applicant has received a grant from the foundation within the last 10 years, your IRS Determination Letter is on file and may be omitted from the submission.
To retrieve the application, click on the link below and download it. Complete the application without modifying/altering it in any way such as increasing the allotted pages or reducing the line spacing. (Altered applications are discarded.) No other application will be accepted. Please do not include video tapes, pictures or any other media. A one page cover letter is acceptable.
Your grant submission needs to be addressed to the President and mailed to the PO Box address at the top of the application to reach us by September 15. DO NOT MAIL THE SUBMISSION BY ANY MEANS WHICH REQUIRES A SIGNATURE AT THE POST OFFICE TO OBTAIN IT. You can waive the signature on Express Mail or send it Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation. Submissions sent requiring a signature or additional postage will be left at the post office and will eventually be returned to you. Faxing the application and attachments is no longer permitted.
If your grant application package is complete, you will receive an email confirming same. If your grant application is incomplete or additional information is required, you will receive an email which specifies what is needed or required. The response needs to be in the post office or received by email on or before September 30.
The trustees of the foundation convene once per year in November to review accepted and complete grant submissions. Grant award checks are usually mailed before December 1. If no award check has been received by December 15, the submission was not funded. Please do not telephone to ask why the submission was not approved or to inquire about the status.
