APPLICATION PROCESS
The foundation does employ a formal application form. Applicants are required to submit their project on this form with required attachments which are specified on the application form. The application (MS Word) is contained Appendix 1 and can be downloaded in its entirety for you to complete. No other application form will be accepted and no notification of unacceptability will be sent. Do not send any other documentation, pictures, videotapes, or any other media along with the application. Should you do so, your entire grant request will not be considered. Mail the grant application to the president and required attachments in 2008 to reach us by September 30. Effective 2009, applications must be in the PO Box on September 15. DO NOT MAIL YOUR GRANT REQUEST BY ANY MEANS REQUIRING A SIGNATURE FOR RETRIEVAL OF THE PACKAGE AT THE POST OFFICE. If the package is not in the PO Box on September 30 (in 2008) on September 15 (Effective 2009), your grant request will not be reviewed and will not be saved for the following year. Postmark of September 30 (September 15 effective 2009) is NOT acceptable. Faxing the application and required attachments on the deadline date is acceptable but not recommended. If additional information is requested, it must be in P.O. Box by September 30 and beyond.You will receive an acknowledgment email stating that the application is complete, when it is, and that your grant request will be reviewed at the annual meeting in November. Grant checks are issued in December; consequently, if you haven't received one by January 1, your organization's project was not funded. Please do not telephone to ask why your project was not funded or to inquire about the status.
